Homemade Organic Strawberry Syrup

This was a lot of fun to make, and even more fun to eat along with Homemade Organic Waffles.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Here’s How I do it:

  1. Rinse, hull, and roughly chop the strawberries.
  2. Place them into a deep frying pan or skillet.
  3. Cover the strawberries with the sugar.
  4. Heat the strawberry mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once some of the syrup begins to form, take an immersion blender on it’s lowest setting and puree some of the strawberries.
  6. Cook the mixture until the desired consistency is reached, about 20 minutes.
  7. Take off the heat.
  8. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  9. Place the strawberry syrup into a quart sized Mason jar.
  10. Puree until the mixture is smooth.
  11. Store in the refrigerator in a glass container with a tight fitting lid.
  12. Makes approximately one quart of syrup.
  13. Enjoy!
